1. a thick, flat, savory cake with a soft, porous texture, made from a yeast mixture cooked on a griddle and eaten toasted and buttered.

I don’t even know why I like this word so much, I’ve never tasted a crumpet before, never felt the need to, never has anyone offered one to me. But when I heard the word it brings me a sort of satisfaction that says there’s more to this silly word than just batter baked on a griddle, but I like it, and it just fits with this time of life that in caught in the middle of.

Let’s back up…welcome to my blog! My thoughts, my rants, my vulnerability(ish) my introvertedness, my ever so mindful world and whatever else that goes on in my sometimes naive mind. I’m less than five months from moving back to the west coast and I thought that with everything going on right now, this would be a great time to categorize it. Also I didn’t want to blog all my endless thoughts on THP, my goal is to reach all women on that platform and I know that on this blog, well only a small few will be able to relate.

So there is, my why on the pretentious reason to “start a blog” like every other women with a laptop and free time. An introduction to my opinions on something that I never do (insert eyeroll) on my other social media outlets.

Right hand side below the header that’s where you can find my social media and that’s possibly where you can follow me. I’m particular about my Facebook,  not much on Instagram and not at all on Pinterest.

Some of the things you’ll be able to find on here should you happen to stay around that long:

Reviews on books/movies/TV series IE 13 Reasons Why/Podcast

  •        Being black, looking black, feeling black, but not always fitting in to black
  •        Not having a best friend
  •        Moving back to the west coast
  •        Being a Christian that goes to a Southern Baptist Church that’s predominantly            white
  •        And mostly life, and how I got so far behind everyone else

I hope you enjoy, I hope the judgments are fair, I hope to make you smile.
